Sunseeker Yachts UK Project
In 2017 and 2018 MSI were engaged as an owners representative for the new build of a 35m Sunseeker, built in Poole, England.
As a client representative, MSI were engage to complete monthly on site inspections that included:
Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to the new build process.
Design and Engineering Oversight: Collaborate with naval architects and design teams to develop the yacht’s exterior and interior design according to client specifications. Review engineering plans, propulsion systems, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Survey Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks during the construction phase to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and material quality. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns. Collaborate with naval architects and design teams to develop the yacht’s exterior and interior design according to client specifications. Review engineering plans, propulsion systems, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and open communication channels with the client and stakeholders, providing regular updates on the progress of the project. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation as required by the client or regulatory authorities.
Sea Trials and Delivery: Arrange and oversee sea trials to test the yacht’s performance, stability, and safety before delivery to the client. Facilitate the delivery process, including final inspections, acceptance procedures, and transfer of ownership/title.
Post-Delivery Support: Provide ongoing support to the client after the yacht’s delivery, addressing any warranty issues, maintenance needs, or modifications. Assist with crew recruitment, training, and operational requirements if requested by the client. Certification support and application for flag state and classification society. Safety Management implementation and review.
